Special Issue on Interprofessional Education

2020-09-10

The Indiana University School of Social Work is pleased to release our latest issue of Advances in Social Work. The current special issue on IPE is guest edited by scholars Maureen Rubin, Lisa de Saxe Zerden, and Lisa E. McGuire. The initial idea for the collaboration resulted from a conversation with JoAnn Co Regan and other CSWE folks at the Learning Together at the Nexus Summit in 2016-2017. Several of the manuscripts were presented as papers during the summit. The issue presents 19 empirical papers authored by 79 scholars and practitioners from 26 institutions, 15 states in the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom. The blind peer-reviewed papers touch upon various aspects of IPE including an editorial on leveraging the power of social work, curricula exemplars, simulation and field education, macro practice and policy, and social work leadership.
