AISW Announces New Editor

2023-08-24

Advances in Social Work introduces Dr. Carol Hostetter as the new Editor as Dr. Margaret Adamek undertakes a new administrative role at the Indiana University School of Social Work. Dr. Hostetter effectively served as a Guest Editor for a double-issue of AISW and contributed as a reviewer for over a decade. Dr. Adamek’s tenure as Editor, since 2015, has enhanced the journal as well as her career and teaching in the realm of scholarly writing and publishing.

AISW will continue to prosper under Dr. Hostetter's guidance. The camaraderie experienced with the AISW team, encompassing authors, reviewers, board members, and guest editors, and, of course, the staff including Valerie Decker, Managing Editor, Michael Hernandez, editorial assistant, Dr. Jieru Bai, statistical consultant, and Ted Polley, OJS Support, is greatly appreciated.

We're excited to share the Spring 2023 issue of Advances in Social Work. Take a look at 12 papers written by 44 authors from the U.S. and Finland. In this collection, you'll find ten studies based on real experiences and two advocacy pieces. Together, they bring new viewpoints and discoveries about growing areas in social work practice, policy, and education!

We remain committed to high-quality open access publishing widely available to academics and practitioners. Heartfelt best wishes are extended to the AISW Team as they venture forward.
